Who is EverShield designed for?
EverShield is designed for regulated companies in UK and EU; an estimated 5000 banks and close to 600 PSPs/EMIs institutions are eligible to use our open source open banking Docker container.
At Exthand, we are adding support for LatAm and Middle East frameworks, extending our coverage to 10.000+ financial institutions eligible.
EverShield for non regulated entities. (not a PSP, EMI or Bank?)
EverShield is a Docker container running inside your own cloud infrastructure or on premises. Meaning you need licenses 7 and/or 8 issued by your National Competent Authority in order to use EverShield.
Before applying for such licenses, which is a slow and costly process, there is a shortcut by becoming an Agent of a regulated entity.
You'll have to operate under their responsibility and the process is faster (1 month).
Becoming an agent allows you to operate as-if you had your own license, faster, giving you the time to validate your business model and launch your operations.
You can still decide to apply for your own license while being an agent.

Open Source (AGPL): The AGPL governs the distribution and modification of the software itself—it requires that source code be made available and that derivative works remain under the same license.
It says nothing about restricting what services you can offer around the software.
Commercial support, maintenance contracts, and SLAs are services, not software distribution.
